The communication between B3's trading environment and its participants is carried out through several connectivity services, including TCP/IP and UDP network services (RCB,VPN, Vendor Links), which use the the Financial Information eXchange (FIX) protocol.
B3 offers three types of FIX Sessions to access its trading and Market Data platforms (trade-related data):
- Order Entry sessions, for entry, order management and trading purposes;
- Drop Copy sessions, a report that summarizes a participant’s execution activity;
- Market Data sessions, for reception of real-time broadcast signal dissemination of stock and derivatives segments.
