About NoMe

NoMe is a B3 platform that provides infrastructure to the OTC market, with solutions in cash assets, securities and non-centrally cleared OTC derivatives in accordance with the regulations stipulated by B3, the Central Bank of Brazil and the Brazilian Securities and Exchange Commission (CVM).

NoMe provides a wide range of services, among which:

• Securities registration: Registration of the features of financial instruments, such as term, remuneration, financial value, redemption conditions, issuer, and holder(s);
• Securities deposit: Transfer of the fiduciary ownership of securities to B3 to maintain their trading chain and adopt procedures as central depository for treatment of cash assets and securities under this type of regime;
• Securities valuation: Daily calculation of the value of securities according to the remuneration features of the instrument and the methodology disclosed in B3’s formula book;
• Trading: Registration of trades settled between the parties of the OTC trade;
• Cash Settlement: Payment of events and cash settlement of trades through the Multilateral, Bilateral and Gross settlement modes. In the case of deposits, the position transfers are processed according to the Delivery Versus Payment (DVP) concept; and
• Liens and encumbrances: Electronic environment for the formalization of guarantee contracts on cash assets and securities.

To trade on the NoMe system, institutions must adhere to our rules and regulations, sign up and open an account in the Cetip UTVM segment. Depending on the activity to be carried out, institutions must also comply with specified technical standards to meet safety, soundness and operational efficiency requirements.
