Insurance Products and Services

Open Insurance, or Open Insurance System, is the data and services standardized sharing system by opening and interfacing information systems platforms and infrastructures, using a dedicated interface for this purpose.

Only members authorized by SUSEP, duly registered in their central directory, can exchange data. Whoever receives data from participants has the obligation to also donate their data.

B3 acts as the Open Insurance infrastructure provider for insurers by providing the platform with the required APIs and monitoring the APIs and managing the consent flow defined for phase 2 of Open Insurance.

Its advantages include:

• Use of SRO data as a donation base;
• Shared infrastructure with cost reduction;
• Conversion of existing APIs;
• Simpler and cheaper Insurer + B3 communication for public data;
• Consent management for data transmission or reception;
• Environment monitoring, capacity expansion, volume throttle, API Gateway done by B3
• Shielding the insurer's environment from the Open Insurance environment.
