Corporate Sustainability Index (ISE B3)

    The Corporate Sustainability Index (ISE B3) is compiled as a weighted average of a theoretical portfolio of stocks pursuant to criteria set forth in this methodology. The indices compiled by B3 adopt concepts and practices set forth in the Concepts and Practices Manual for B3 Indices.

    Objetive

    The ISE B3 is designed to measure average stock performance tracking changes in the prices of stocks of companies recognized for their commitment to corporate sustainability. Induce listed companies to adopt best ESG practices and support investors in their decision-making process based in this aspects.

    Eligible assets

    The ISE B3 is a total return index (see the Concepts and Practices Manual for B3 Indices).

    Eligible stocks

    The ISE B3 is composed exclusively of shares and units representing shares of B3-listed issuers that meet the inclusion criteria set forth below. The index universe excludes Brazilian Depositary Receipts (BDRs) and shares of issuers under judicial or extrajudicial reorganization, government- or court-ordered administration or intervention, as well as shares otherwise designated to be under exceptional trading status (see the Concepts and Practices Manual for B3 Indices).

    ISE B3 relies on the ISUS11 ETF, managed by Itaú asset management.

    For companies

    Aiming to induce best ESG practices among its listed companies, B3 offers the opportunity for companies to responding the previous year’s questionnaire without fee to receive a report diagnosis of their performance, in comparison to the performance of the current portfolio.

    The simulation also allows companies to attend investors’ need, in addition to preparing to participate in the ISE B3 process as eligible.
